Frequently Asked Questions

How do I start services?

The best way to start our work together is to first have a 15-min free consultation to explore if our services are a good fit with your needs. Our next sessions typically will include further consultation to explore your concerns and collaboratively decide on a treatment plan that works for you.

How do I schedule an appointment?

Scheduling an appointment can be done in just a few easy steps:

  1. Click on the following link to go to your Client Portal (click here):

  2. Click on “I’M A NEW CLIENT”

  3. Under “Initial Consultation” click “SELECT”.

  4. Under VIDEO OFFICE click “SELECT”.

  5. Choose your preferred date and time.

  6. Add information regarding the reason for your visit and request of services.

  7. Add your personal information and click on “REQUEST APPOINTMENT”

  8. You are all set! After your therapist confirms your appointment you should receive an email with more details.

What should I expect to see after a few sessions?

While everyone’s healing journey is different, after a few sessions you can expect to see yourself making steps towards your goals. Even in moments where you feel stuck, you won’t be alone. Your therapist will collaboratively work together to find the barriers and hurdles keeping you from being where you want to be and plan the steps needed to help you move forward. Some of the hard work that is involved in therapy might take place directly during sessions, as well as work being done by yourself in between sessions.

Are sessions online or in person?

Kind Guide, PLLC offers online psychotherapy. In-person sessions are not being offered at this time. With online sessions you get to participate in therapy from the comfort of your own home. This often works more favorably as we can directly practice and rehearse skills in your actual living environment.

What kind of Clients do you offer services to?

We offer Individual psychotherapy for adults with a particular focus on offering services to nurses, teachers, doctors, Veterans, caregivers, and first responders. While our practice is set in Texas we offer services to clients residing in over 40 States. To see the States in which services can be offered, click here.

Do you accept insurance?

Kind Guide, PLLC is considered an out-of-network provider. If your insurance carrier provides out-of-network benefits, we can prepare you a monthly receipt (or superbill) that you can submit for reimbursement.
